"Beneath the Painted Sky" - Original Artwork

This piece captures the iconic Bixby Bridge in Big Sur, one of California’s most breathtaking coastal landmarks. I was inspired by the way the wildflowers bloom with such abandon in spring—blanketing the cliffs in soft whites and blues—while the sky above dances with dramatic purples and sweeping clouds.

Using a palette knife, I built up rich textures to reflect the rugged coastline, the timeless architecture of the bridge, and the joyful chaos of flowers growing freely at the cliff’s edge. “Beneath the Painted Sky” is my love letter to Big Sur—where wild beauty and human craftsmanship meet in perfect harmony.
