"Keeper of the Wharf" - Original Artwork

Keeper of the Wharf was inspired by a tranquil moment at Old Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey, California. I was drawn to the way this lone sea lion sat so proudly on its perch, almost as if it were standing guard over the boats gently swaying in the harbor.

Using thick palette knife strokes, I brought texture and movement to the shimmering water, the moored vessels, and the rock where our watchful friend rests. “Keeper of the Wharf” is a tribute to those quiet, coastal moments where wildlife and the rhythms of the sea life come together in harmony.
