“Key West Glow” - Original

"Key West Glow" is a vibrant and imaginative impasto painting that captures the spirit of a Key West-inspired fantasy forest. The painting bursts with luminous colors, evoking the warmth and radiance of a tropical sunset filtered through a dreamlike woodland.

Created using both palette knife and sgraffito techniques, the piece is rich in texture and detail. The palette knife adds dynamic, thick layers of paint, giving the forest a three-dimensional quality and a sense of movement. Sgraffito—a method of scratching into the layers of paint to reveal intricate patterns and designs beneath—adds a delicate interplay of lines and textures, drawing the viewer deeper into the enchanting scene.

I created this artwork as a celebration of light, vibrant color, and the limitless imagination sparked by the natural beauty and joyful hues of Key West - one of my all-time favorite places on earth!
