"Magic Bloom by the Pacific" - Original Artwork
Each spring, the coastline of Pacific Grove transforms into a breathtaking spectacle—rolling hills and walking paths lined with vibrant pink ice plant, glowing like nature’s own magic carpet. This painting was inspired by my visit during the bloom, when the cliffs seemed to sing with color and the ocean breeze carried a quiet kind of wonder.
In Magic Bloom by the Pacific, I used thick palette knife strokes to evoke the lush texture of the ice plant, framing the meandering path that leads toward the deep, sparkling blue of the Pacific. The clouds above dance with movement, echoing the waves as they meet the shore.
This piece is my attempt to bottle that moment—when the coastal air is full of life, and the world feels beautifully alive in pinks, blues, and sunlit serenity. It’s a celebration of spring’s enchantment and the powerful calm of the sea.
