"Monumental Spring" - Original Artwork

Monumental Spring is a palette knife impasto painting inspired by the stunning cherry blossom season in Washington, D.C.

I loved painting the soft pink blossoms around the Washington Monument and the way they feel so fresh, peaceful, and full of spring. The thick texture gives the flowers and water a lot of movement, while the deep blue reflection adds contrast and depth.

I hope this painting brings the viewer that same feeling of standing near the water on a beautiful spring day—surrounded by blossoms, sunshine, and a sense of renewal.
