"A Quiet Place to Rest" - Original Artwork
There’s a peace in the woods that feels almost sacred to me — a hush that settles in the air, where time slows and nature breathes softly. In this painting, I wanted to capture that calm winter stillness, where the world is quiet and gentle light settles across the birch trees like a blessing.
As I layered thick strokes of cool whites, soft violets, and deep winter hues, this little cardinal appeared — a bright, hopeful visitor tucked among the trees. Cardinals have always felt symbolic to me, like small messengers of love and presence, reminding us we’re watched over and never truly alone.
“A Quiet Place to Rest” is that tender pause — where even the smallest creature finds comfort and stillness, and we’re invited to do the same. A breath of peace, a moment of gratitude, and the quiet beauty of being present in nature’s embrace.
