This stunning palette knife painting captures the breathtaking view of the Jefferson Memorial through a delicate curtain of soft pink cherry blossoms. The fragrant blossoms create a dreamy, romantic atmosphere, inviting the viewer to step into the tranquil scene. The textured brushstrokes of the palette knife technique bring the blossoms to life, creating a three-dimensional effect that makes the painting feel almost touchable. This work of art perfectly captures the beauty and wonder of springtime in Washington D.C., a truly magical sight to behold.
I created this piece when the blossoms were in peak bloom, when millions enjoy the cherry blossom trees when they bloom in spectacular fashion every spring along the West and East Potomac parks.
This is an original work created using the finest acrylic paints and mediums, using mostly palette knives, non-traditional implements, and some brush work. The sides of the thick, 1.5" profile of this gallery wrapped canvas are painted, no frame needed).
