"Golden Hour's Embrace" - Original Artwork

In "Golden Hour’s Embrace" I hoped to capture the breathtaking beauty of the Washington Monument at sunset, a moment that feels both peaceful and powerful. I used thick, expressive strokes of impasto to bring the sky to life, layering warm oranges and soft peaches against deep blues and purples. The colors blend and glow, creating a radiant, dreamlike atmosphere.

The reflecting pool mirrors the sky’s brilliance, shimmering with golden hues and cool violets. I wanted the water to feel just as alive as the sky, gently rippling with color and light. The monument stands tall at the heart of the scene, its reflection stretching across the water. With each textured stroke, I aimed to capture not just the beauty of the moment, but the emotion—the warmth, the tranquility, and the fleeting magic of golden hour’s embrace.
