Iris Dream has a soft, atmospheric feel to me, as though you’re looking across a sea of irises in a moment that feels almost suspended in time. I loved using my palette knife to shape the petals and leaves, but in this piece I was especially drawn to the rhythm of the blooms together—the way they create a flowing, dreamlike sense of movement across the canvas. The purples feel rich and velvety, while the greens and lighter touches keep it feeling fresh and airy.
What I love about this painting is that it feels both peaceful and full of life at the same time. I hope it brings that same feeling into the room where it hangs—a sense of beauty, calm, and a little escape into a world of color and bloom.
