"Out of the Blue" - Original Art

I wanted this piece to capture that sudden, wonderful feeling of looking up and seeing a flock of birds sweep across a bright blue sky. The movement felt spontaneous and a little unexpected, which is where the title “Out of the Blue” came from.

I kept the palette simple so the blues, whites, and soft grays could do most of the work, then used loose brush and palette knife marks to create movement through the sky and texture in the birds. I love playing with light, color, and texture, and in this painting I especially wanted everything to feel airy, free, and full of motion.
