Sunshine in Blue felt so good to paint. I hadn’t painted in a while, and getting back to it brought me a lot of joy. I loved working in all the thick texture and using my palette knife to build up the petals so they felt full and lush. The bright sunflower and all of those blue flowers made this piece especially fun to create. For me, it captures that happy feeling of returning to something I love, and I hope it brings that same sense of joy, warmth, and life wherever it finds a home.
