"Where the Garden Overflows" - Original Artwork

I wanted this painting to feel like a garden that had simply grown too abundant to contain itself. I filled it with layers of flowers in warm reds, pinks, oranges and soft purples, letting the shapes overlap and mingle so the whole piece feels lush, loose and a little wild.

I used lots of thick palette knife texture and expressive marks, especially through the flowers and greenery. I love working with bold color and texture, and with “Where the Garden Overflows” I wanted that sense of abundance to be the focus—almost as if the flowers are spilling right out of the painting.
