"Where the Mountains Bloom" - Original Artwork

I was inspired by the contrast between a distant, quiet mountain landscape and the abundance of flowers in the foreground. I loved the idea of the mountains feeling soft and almost hazy in the distance while the flowers came forward with so much color, texture, and life.

I used thick palette knife texture and loose, expressive marks to build up the blooms, letting the oranges, reds, purples, pinks, and greens play against the cooler blues of the sky and mountains. I’m always drawn to color, texture, and the way light moves through a scene, and I wanted “Where the Mountains Bloom” to feel joyful, layered, and full of energy.
