"Where the Sea Blooms" - Original Artwork

This piece is a love letter to the quiet beauty of the coast—where sea oats sway and wildflowers bloom just steps from the shoreline. I painted it after spending time in St. Augustine, where the beach is alive not just with waves and sky, but with soft bursts of unexpected color tucked into the dunes.

Using a palette knife, I built up texture in the clouds and water to reflect movement and light, while the foreground blossoms and grasses are more delicate—like nature’s own gentle embroidery along the sand.

"Where the Sea Blooms" is about that peaceful in-between space where land meets sea… and still finds room to flower.
