This piece gave me the chance to focus on one of the things I love most—using texture to bring an animal to life. I wanted to capture the cheetah’s alert energy, the elegance of his posture, and the beautiful rhythm of those spotted patterns across his fur. The thick strokes helped me suggest both the softness of the coat and the tension of a wild animal sitting perfectly still, yet seeming ready to move at any moment.
What I love about this painting is that it feels both calm and alive at the same time. I hope it brings that same feeling into the room where it hangs—a sense of grace, character, and quiet intensity that keeps pulling you in.
