My hand painted bench made the news!
NBC did a news piece about the off again on again July 4 parade in Purcellville and my bench was shown during the piece! If you don’t know, I was among 40 artists asked to paint a bench that they place all over town and in the Fall auction off to support arts in the town. I was very honored to participate 😊🇺🇸. My project features an American flag draped over the bench with all of the town’s popular landmarks painted tone on tone in the background. I painted “Purcellville Virginia, America’s Home Town” on the frame. The news piece is posted below, my bench is shown about halfway through. Thanks NBC!

Holidays in Clifton - Loved meeting collectors & raising money for Fisher House
The Holiday Clifton Barn Sale was a huge success once again, raising over $1,000 for Fisher House Foundation. I had great fun meeting with art lovers and collectors and sharing my process. As many of you know, I have incorporated mixed media into my work, which includes the hand painting of papers on a gelli press plate, and adding them to the textured pieces vial collage. It's great fun! The image below is a highly textured angel trio that I created with gowns made of paper I hand painted and collaged on. The background was also created by painting it first then collaging hand painted papers and maps on to it. I love this process because it combines the texture (which I love and am known for) with the papers, which I am obsessed with!
